We spend our days searching for, encouraging, and capturing connection, but we work alone. We create art to share with the world, with little more than our illuminated screen to bounce ideas off.

NIGHT one
THE WELCOME PARTY
Once we've checked in, we will frock up and have sundowners on the deck. A real 'settle in, get to know you' time to relax with myself and the other attendees.
We will eat together, fill each other's cups and chat about where we are all at and shake off any nerves.
This is where the community is built.
DAY 1
EDUCATION
The 'morning after brekkie' will be served and then we dive into the education.
I will explain where I began and how grew my business
How I prepare for a shoot.
Do a live newborn shoot with parents (pack your camera, you'll be shooting too!)
Run through my post-production/editing/packages and gallery delivery.
Chat about socials/brand building.
There will be lunch and snacks in between it all.
special guest karen from shot from the heart will be with us.
We will finish with cheese and wine, as I spend 15 mins with each of you, editing an image you took on the day.
More chats, another beautiful dinner, and an open table Q&A to end the day.
THE FINAL MORNING
THE DEPARTURE BREKKIE
Before we check out, we will enjoy breakfast together and reminisce on all that we have learnt.
Then we depart, cry, and miss each other terribly before we even leave.
Facebook Group
A Facebook group will be created with all attendees to chat prior to the workshop to arrange details, share travel etc. and get to know who you will be alongside on during the retreat.
There will be so much fun, late nights, endless chats, new friendships, and much, much more.

You can secure your spot by emailing us at
education@sophieleaphotography.com.au at 10:00am on Thursday 18th november..
An invoice will be sent to the first people to email us. Any emails before 10:00am will not be considered.
You have 24 hours to pay your invoice. Your spot will then be offered to NIL.
One ticket per person.

WHAT TO BRING
Something special to wear on night one, your camera, laptop if you have one.
Comfy clothes for the workshop.
COVID-19
We must keep in mind, that COVID-19 may prevent this workshop from going ahead on the scheduled dates. Either by law, with travel restrictions or my own personal stance on if I deem it safe and responsible to go ahead. In that case, the workshop will be rescheduled, not cancelled. Your ticket will be transferred to the new date. If you cannot make the new date you are responsible for selling your ticket. Resale price of tickets must not be greater than the original ticket price. Sophie Lea Photography will also advertise the seats on her Instagram stories if needed.
Qualifications for Purchase
You must own and operate a DSLR (or mirrorless) in manual mode—I will not be teaching basic camera functions or Lightroom/ACR. Editing will be a demo of how I do it, not an in depth tutorial on editing. I highly recommend the 35mm or 50mm lenses. Laptops are highly recommended but not required.
Payment & Exclusions
You may purchase a ticket in full, or a non-refundable payment of $1,000 is due to reserve your seat. The final payment is due 15th january 2022. The ticket price DOES NOT include the cost of a rental car, travel/flight. The ticket price includes 2 x night accommodation, breakfast(s), lunch, dinners, snacks, drinks.
